Our History
Based in Whitchurch, Dragon Elite Roofing & Plastics Ltd was started by Fred Woodward, a roofer with 23 years of experience in the trade.
Fred trained as a roofing apprentice straight after school, learning traditional slating, tiling, and site safety on the job. He went on to complete City & Guilds qualifications while working full-time for an established, family-run roofing firm, covering both domestic repairs and commercial roofing.
Fred was later promoted to Lead Roofer and Site Supervisor, taking responsibility for heritage restoration projects, liaising with council inspectors and signing off manufacturer-warranted installations.
Dragon Elite Roofing & Plastics Ltd was founded to deliver that same standard of work, using commercial-grade materials and methods, across both domestic and commercial roofing. Every job is backed by clear pricing and straightforward communication.

Commercial Roofing Services
Dragon Elite Roofing & Plastics Ltd carries out a wide range of commercial roofing work beyond roof repair and installation. This includes ongoing reactive maintenance for regional property management companies and a portfolio of private landlords, covering emergency leak repairs, annual gutter clearance and condition surveys. Recent projects have also included working with a regional solar energy firm on a 40-house green energy rollout, carrying out structural roof surveys, replacing fractured interlocking tiles and reinforcing timber rafters ahead of solar panel installation, to protect the long-term integrity of each roof.
Domestic Roof Repair & Installation
For homeowners, we install and repair flat roofs, including felt, GRP fibreglass and single-ply membrane systems, alongside pitched roofs in tile as well as traditional slate. We also carry out emergency roof repairs , storm damage repairs, leak detection, guttering , fascia and soffit work, and chimney repointing and repair. Domestic work covers everything from small repairs to full re-roofs, on properties across Whitchurch and the surrounding areas.
